About National Highways Authority of India:-
The National Highways Authority of India is an autonomous agency of the Government of India, set up in 1988 and is responsible for management of a network of over 50,000 km of National Highways out of 1,15,000 km in India. It is a nodal agency of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
The National Highways Authority of India was created through the promulgation of the National Highways Authority of India Act, 1988. Section 16 of the Act states that the function of National Highways Authority of India is to develop, maintain and manage the national highways and any other highways vested in, or entrusted to, it by the Government of India. In February 1995, National Highways Authority of India came into operations and was formally made an autonomous body. It is responsible for the development, maintenance and management of National Highways, totaling over 92,851.05 km (57,694.97 mi) in length. The National Highways Authority of India is also responsible of the toll collection on several highways. Yogendra Narain was the first Chairman of National Highways Authority of India in 1988. He is a retired IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre.

National Highways Authority of India invites application for interested and experienced candidates for the post of Revenue Ofticier (Reid.) for Land Acquisition Land on short term contract basis for a period of 06 months. which may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Authority
1. Renumeration: The remuneration shall be equal to the amount of pay cost drawn by him minus pension being received by him/ consolidated pay or with incentive (As per option!choice by candidate). As per the circular No. NIIAl/Policy Guidelines/ strengthening PIUS for acquisition of land/2017 no. 7.1.53/2017 dated 28.07.2017 & policy matter (Technical) 183/2015 dated 05.11.2015 (copy enclosed)
2. Duration of Engagement: The engagement shall be for a period of six months and from the date of acceptance of the appointment letter. The contract can be terminated at any time without notice and without assigning any reason. In the case of termination, no compensation will be payable. Extension/Termination of service be solely dependent upon discretion of National Highways Authority of India, Service rendered on contract with National Highways Authority of India shall in no way give any right to Claim regularization/absorption in the Organization. Extension of period of engagement beyond six months will be considered on case to case basis as per National Highways Authority of India Policy.
3. Qualification and Experience: The candidate shall be a retired Revenue Officer of any State Govt. The candidate shall have adequate experience in Land Acquisition works preferably under National Highways Authority of India Act 1956.
4. Minimum Experience: 10 (Ten) years in the field of Land Acquisition/Land Reforms/Survey Work, preferably in the mentioned Districts
5. Scope of Servive:
a) The retired State Govt. Revenue Official shall coordinate and assist Project Director in performance of tasks within prescribed time lines by National Highways Authority of India such as preparation of notifications/ Awards and disbursement Of compensation and subsequent possession etc. under section 3a/3Ai3D/3G/3H of NH Act 1956.
b) Information regarding status of lands and structures already acquired/to be acquired and identification of encroachment within ROW based on LA Compensation deposited with CALAs and disbursed to the owners.
c) Collection of following documents from the concerned state Govt. offices for preparation of Land Plan schedules and its verifications on ground for publications of3A,3D.3G under National Highways Authority of India Act 1956 (i) Village Maps (ii) Subdivisions Records from Revenue Department (iii) Sub Registrar Records (iv) Any other document as required for LA purpose d) Coordinating with concerned CALA for expeditious disbursing of compensation amount already deoosited
